RS Archery club (Welwyn) is an independent archery club - The first of it's kind in the UK

If you are after a relaxed and fun archery club - Then we are the club for you!

Boasting both a large outdoor and indoor facilities the club hosts various archery related activities from
normal target archery up to 50metres, rowing archery (shooting at unmarked distanced targets) and even clout / distance shooting.

The club's main objective is to promote archery whilst having fun in a safe environment.

RS Archery Club meets every Monday (new session!) & Thursday at 7.30pm-9pm with "extra" special archery activities (see below) on selected weekends (to be confirmed and advised in advance)
 

RS Archery club (Welwyn) is run by husband & wife team Steven & Rebekah Davies who between them have over 30 years of archery experience
including 7 years of coaching in Hertfordshire

RS Archery Club (Welwyn) welcomes both the novice & experienced archers alike. Current archery club membership is made up of both male & female ranging between the ages of 8 which is our minimum age and 71 (there's no maximum age)

Regular archery beginner classes / sessions are organised throughout the year and is held at our club on a either a Monday or Thursday evening (pre-booking required). The archery beginner class / session costs £15.00 (payable on the day). Once the archery beginner class session is completed you are entitled to join the club as a full member (membership is subject to our club terms)

Don't worry if you don't have your own equipment as we can provide all the equipment* required as well as coaching and of course a fun time.

You will be instructed on how to shoot the modern Olympic Style recurve bow (shown top right) this is the best style of bow to learn quickly & correctly.

So what happens once you have joined the club

* Do I need my own equipment?
No you are more than welcome to use our basic equipment although after about six months you should be at a level where purchasing your own equipment will improve your archery. We are more happy to advise you on what's right for you.

Can I reserve or guarantee having the same equipment each week?
Unfortunately it's on a first come first served basis

Can I join part the way through RS Archery club's year (i.e. January)?
Yes of course you can, the archery beginner session fee remains the same but depending which quarter you join in depends
on how much you pay for the remaining of the year

Individual adult fee £50.00
Individual under 18 fee £30.00

Archery Club Shooting fee's (excluding special events)
£5.00 per person per session

Special archery club events

Because we are lucky to have such an excellent venue we can run our special archery events,
these events can range from
 
Clout
Rowing shooting
Competitions
Medieval camp out
shooting anything up to 150 yards at a target on the floor
shooting at targets at unmarked distances - targets can be varied.
(internal competitions only - fun and serious) both team and individual.

RS Archery club (Welwyn) isn't just a place to shoot it's a place to socialize, meet friends but and above have fun!
We will be organizing BBQ's, Christmas meals etc. We are of course always open to suggestions on special events.


Do I get anything else with my RS Archery Club membership?

Yes you do, you will entitled to 10% (excluding venue or extra's hire) of any other event that you wish
to hire us for - a medieval archery party, family fun day or archery corporate day etc.

How do I become a RS Archery Club member?
Simply contact Steven Davies at RS Archery to either booking a place on our next archery beginner session/course or membership form. Steven will be more than happy to answer any question you may have.
