We are really happy to write this first post, as it is the official launch of Sport-Tribe after a long period of work. So we'd like to get the most of this to explain you quickly why and how it happened...
Sport-Tribe is born out of a need: one of the founder had moved to another country and couldn't find easily the events and the clubs of his favourite sport. Conventional search engines would only give random and confusing information that would only conclude by a waste of time and a lot of frustration.
Nothing central, useful and practical existed on the web that gathered sports clubs, sport people, and the events of the country.
Our concept was born.
Sport-Tribe would then be the place on the internet where one can find easily the clubs, the events and the people practicing them, in a fun and nice user interface, easy to use, and quick.
The Wiki base ("What I Know Is": visitors can add information on the website) and a very practical tool (GoogleMaps) are the main components of Sport-Tribe
Today, the first version of Sport-Tribe works with the functionalities that we really wanted to offer the users for the launch. But we are continuously working and developing the site, to offer you more and better (more suited) functionalities, taking in account your feedback and suggestions. (you can contact us if you wish to tell us something)
Finally, we don't have much information to offer you today (not that many people registered yet, few clubs and events) but watch this space: we are working hard to make it change! Of course, if you like sport yourself, and if you like our concept, please join us (simple and free) register your club(s) and event(s), and spread the word around you:: the more people will be using Sport-Tribe, the better it will become!
